Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan  – The linked edition from Crossway is the best modern English translation for reading to children. Many beautiful color illustrations throughout the book.

The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis – The Magician’s Nephew; The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe; and Prince Caspian are family favorites. Lewis is hard to beat for cultivating the imaginations of young and old.
